The Science Month is celebrated to commemorate the great things brought to us by Science and Technology.  According to research, the theme aims to focus or give importance to Michael Faraday's discovery of electricity and magnetism. We all know that nowadays, science and technology have scattered everywhere. Anywhere you go there will always be a machine or a thing that is a product of science and technology. There are a lot of great things produced because of the modern technology. I can say that technology is a big help to humans. It makes our works easier and our life more comfortable. So it is really good to celebrate in order to recognize the great impact of the modern technology. 

As we all know the Philippines is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire and near the West Basin. This is the reason why there are lots of calamities that the Filipino people are experiencing. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis are the most dangerous calamities that are occurring in the Philippines. But despite of these calamities Filipinos still manage to smile, a sweet and genuine smile. In the year 2013, at the month of November, super typhoon Yolanda strikes the City of Tacloban. Many properties were destroyed and many lives were lost. Typhoon Yolanda became a nightmare to the people but the survivors became stronger after this calamity. They still manage to be happy despite of the damages that Yolanda brought to them. Even though darkness is taking over they still find a little ray of sunshine to lighten the sorrounding. President Rodrigo Duterte was set to deliver his State of the Nation Address on July 23, 2018 at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. The President's speech didn't present the previous year's achievements instead he focuses on the present and future plans. President Duterte was so aggressive in his war on illegal drugs and corruption that he opened his speech about him being inspired to do the real changes for the greater good of the Filipino people.
