Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan

The National Reading Month is being celebrated on the month of November in which it promotes the love for reading. In most schools, the National Reading Month is commonly celebrated with various student competitions. And this year's theme is "Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan" talks about the importance of reading in achieving a great future.

We all know that through reading we can easily understand different things that are written. Nowadays, when you do not know how to read you will have a disastrous life. Because when you are lack of the ability to read, that means that you're a lowlife person and we can say that you will never have a good future. Reading plays a very important role in one's life, because this is a great help in attaining success in life. Even though we do not have enough money in going to school, let us do our best to learn how to read and also on how to write. 

All in all, we should think that reading will change our life into something beautiful. Let reading be our hobby. Books, magazines, newspapers, and many more are the things that we should read.

Filipino's Resiliency

As we all know the Philippines is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire and near the West Basin. This is the reason why there are lots of calamities that the Filipino people are experiencing. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis are the most dangerous calamities that are occurring in the Philippines. But despite of these calamities Filipinos still manage to smile, a sweet and genuine smile. In the year 2013, at the month of November, super typhoon Yolanda strikes the City of Tacloban. Many properties were destroyed and many lives were lost. Typhoon Yolanda became a nightmare to the people but the survivors became stronger after this calamity. They still manage to be happy despite of the damages that Yolanda brought to them. Even though darkness is taking over they still find a little ray of sunshine to lighten the sorrounding. Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik

Ang Wikang Filipino ay kilala bilang pambansang wika ng Pilipinas. Halos lahat ng Pilipino ay ginagamit ang wikang ito sa pakikipagkomunikasyon. Ngunit sa paglipas ng panahon ay umuusbong ang iba't ibang mga salita na hindi angkop sa pakikipagtalastasan. Minsan may mga Pilipino na ring gumagamit ng lenggwahe ng ibang bansa dahil mas may alam pa sila dito kesa sa wikang Filipino. Ngunit hindi naman natin maiiwasan ang paggamit ng ibang lenggwahe lalo na kung mga banyaga ang ating kausap. Kung kaya't dapat nating hikayatin ang ating kapwa Pilipino na pahalagahan ang wikang atin dahil sabi nga ni Rizal, "Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa malansang isda."
