117th High School Day Celebration

High school life is probably the happiest time of our lives. Many consider their college lives to be the best, but to me high school is better, because it has more fun and less workload. We are young adults now. Our bodies are going through a series of changes. Boys are transforming into young men, while girls are blooming into beautiful young women. At this point, we are mature enough to recognize our interests, our passions and everything else we need to know about ourselves. And for me, what makes our high school life memorable is the High School Day Celebration. Why did I say so?

The 117th high school day celebration was celebrated on March 2, 2019. On this day, the dancing competition among grade levels was held. The competition among boys and girls is separated. Before this day, all are busy on their own practices. I can say that it is really tiring because i feel so exhausted after the practice. Especially for me who doesn't know how to dance. I really hate dancing but because it is high school day I did my best not to look so stupid while dancing. And I can say it's really good to participate even though i'm no good in dancing. I was so ashamed but what can I do? It's a tradition of the school to celebrate the High School Day with this kind of activity. But after all I had so much fun, I guess?

Filipino's Resiliency

As we all know the Philippines is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire and near the West Basin. This is the reason why there are lots of calamities that the Filipino people are experiencing. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis are the most dangerous calamities that are occurring in the Philippines. But despite of these calamities Filipinos still manage to smile, a sweet and genuine smile. In the year 2013, at the month of November, super typhoon Yolanda strikes the City of Tacloban. Many properties were destroyed and many lives were lost. Typhoon Yolanda became a nightmare to the people but the survivors became stronger after this calamity. They still manage to be happy despite of the damages that Yolanda brought to them. Even though darkness is taking over they still find a little ray of sunshine to lighten the sorrounding. Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik

Ang Wikang Filipino ay kilala bilang pambansang wika ng Pilipinas. Halos lahat ng Pilipino ay ginagamit ang wikang ito sa pakikipagkomunikasyon. Ngunit sa paglipas ng panahon ay umuusbong ang iba't ibang mga salita na hindi angkop sa pakikipagtalastasan. Minsan may mga Pilipino na ring gumagamit ng lenggwahe ng ibang bansa dahil mas may alam pa sila dito kesa sa wikang Filipino. Ngunit hindi naman natin maiiwasan ang paggamit ng ibang lenggwahe lalo na kung mga banyaga ang ating kausap. Kung kaya't dapat nating hikayatin ang ating kapwa Pilipino na pahalagahan ang wikang atin dahil sabi nga ni Rizal, "Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa malansang isda."
